My last post as a Sister Missionary!

Well hello folks! This is it!
Can you believe that? I seriously cannot!

This last week was awesome though, just kind of a regular week, but it was a good one.
It is cool to see just how amazing the Lord is and how his hand is in everything.
Our investigator Kody told us that he knows he should be baptized! We are so excited for him. And he was telling us some other things, and it was cool to see how the way we have been teaching him was exactly what he needed. And it has also been so cool to see the power of the Book of Mormon!

Well this has been the greatest 18 months of my life. Not always the easiest, but definitely the greatest. I have learned so much, and my testimony has been strengthened! I know that this church is true. I know that Heavenly Father loves us so much. We are all his sons and daughters and He wants us to be able to return to live with Him. He sent us his son Jesus Christ to be a Savior for us. I know that if we follow Christs example that we will be happy, and we will be able to live with Heavenly Father again. I know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He gave us prophets then, and He has given us a prophet now. I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God and that we can get closer to God by reading it, than by any other book! I know that if we keep doing the small things that great things will come to pass!

I love you all! The church is true and God loves us all SO MUCH!

SEE YOU ON THURSDAY!!!!!

Pictures from Judy's Baptism

Judi Got Baptized!

WELL HELLO FAMILY!
This week was AWESOME!
So i pretty much don't remember anything except BEDNAR and JUDI's BAPTISM!
SO that is all i will email about!!!
FRIDAY we had a MISSION CONFERENCE with ELDER BEDNAR!
So it was pretty awesome. We drove to Elk Grove, and the WHOLE mission was there! So we all were in the gym, and got all lined up because we got to have a picture with him!! So we were supposed to be waiting reverently, but the photographer had us singing hymns, and 240 of us sound pretty good, so we sang Called to Serve, and another one and then how Firm a Foundation, but then during how firm a foundation he told us to sing verse 7, NO ONE KNOWS verse 7! So we sounded HORRIBLE. and of course that was when ELDER BEDNAR WALKED IN! soooo embarrassing. But oh well. So then we got a picture with him and the whole mission. I'm excited to see it. Then we all went into the chapel, and had the coolest meeting with him ever. Basically he just asked us what we learned when we were preparing for the meeting, and then he would ask comments based on that, and then he did a Q&A session. bahahaha so during the Q&A there was this elder who had a question, and oh ya sometimes the portable microphone was kind of cutting out,so he has his question:
Elder: so what do you say, or how do you help someone who feels like they can't change because they have sldrhosdifh feelings?
Bednar: sorry what was that? What kind of feelings?
Elder: oioisudfosidu feelings.
Bednar: One more time?
Elder: HOMOSEXUAL FEELINGS.

bahahaahah and then the mic didn't cut out, and he just shouted homosexual feelings infront of Elder Bednar hahaha. it was soooooo funny.

And ya Elder Bednar is seriously soooooo funny. I just loved him. And he is such a humble guy. But it is soooooo evident and easy to see that he is an apostle of the Lord.
I  think the definite coolest part was at the end when he bore his testimony. As we all know, apostles are special witnesses of Christ, and everything in his testimony started with "I witness".
IT WAS SOOOO POWERFUL!!!!
Wow. Coolest day ever.

SATURDAY: JUDI GOT BAPTIZED!!!! IT WAS the best!!!! So Tom did the baptism, and wow it was just perfect. I am sooo happy for her!  I really love Judi and Tom, and i am excited because this baptism is just the beginning for them!!! The temple is next :).

SUNDAY: STAKE CONFERENCE WITH ELDER BEDNAR soooooo! We had the new member/investigator meeting at 8:30, and get this. ahaha they kicked the missionaries out. It was really dumb. For real. Like we weren't even upset because we couldn't be there to see Bednar, but we were upset because we brought investigators, and then they made us leave them to sit by themselves....! Like some of the elders investigators had never even been in a church building before. So it was just really sad to see where the active members priorities were. They were only thinking about meeting elder bednar and not thinking about the people who this meeting was actually for. But whatever. But ya then stake conf was really good!!!
IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!!!!
WELL hahaha i will email you next week!!!!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Elder Bednar is Coming!

HELLO FAMILY
Well this was a good week! It went by super fast! Crazy stuff!!!
Monday night we had Kyla come with us to our dinner appointment at the Hollingsworths. They are this young couple who are soooo funny. I love them! We were planning on teaching one of Kylas new member lessons, but it didn't happen. Oh well.
Tuesday: we had MLC which is always great. We had a good training, it was pretty much about WHO WE ARE. So they got us all pumped up about being California Sacramento Missionaries. hahaha which is pretty funny when you think about it cause half of them will end up being Modesto missionaries. so that is too bad. But ya it was good. Then we saw Judi after, and we saw Pablo, he is this super adorable 14 year old boy who wants to learn more. We had dinner at the Pierces, and then went to the bishops with the Medinas. We were supposed to watch meet te mormons but we ran out of time. then we had to go on exchanges.
Wednesday: So I was with Sister Sahm here in folsom. It was a good day. Back and forth a lot, and we did service atthe old folks home and hahahaha there was an old lady making out with a baby doll. ahahahahaah it was so sad/weird/hilarious. But ya the rest of the day was good. sister Sahm is from the exact same island that sister William is from, so it was kind of fun to talk to her. Back with an islander companion!
Thursday: We had a lesson in the morning with Kody, it was good! We taught the restoration using 1nephi 13. It went great. We invited him to be baptized on april 11, and he said he would pray about it! Then we met with the ZLs to plan our zone training. the JUDI had one of her baptismal interviews! then we saw Beth, and did more service at the old folks home! And then our other appointments that we had cancelled, but it ended up being okay, cause we needed to plan for our zone training.
Friday we had zone training! It went really good! I think it will really help the zone! It just helped every body to be pumped  up and to want to work harder! Then the rest of the day was good. We saw Judi again and filled out her baptismal record.
Saturday: Was kind of crazy haha, we had to go on a team up in east sac haaha. lol and that took so long. #stlprobs. But it was good.  Then we had service at the thrift store, which was good. We were supposed to have an appointment with the Medinas but they cancelled :(. Sad day. We went and saw brother edmondson becaause he was out of town. We are glad he is back! And we had dinner at the Kolanders!
Sunday: daylight savings. hahah felt like we got no sleep. jk, it was good. It was a good sunday.  went to all of 2nd ward. Then Judi's interview with PJardine was at 2:30, so we went there, then realized we forgot her baptismal record at home, so had to speed home to get it then back, and luckily the timing was just perfect, cause right as soon as we walked in they walked out of the interview. Ahaha so they didn't even realize we left. #tendermercy. Hahah we did not want to get chastised for forgetting the record hahaha. Butthen it was good!
GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN FOLSOM!!!!!!!
Small little miracles everywhere :)It is awesome!
Judi will be baptized on saturday!
We get to meet Elder Bednar on Friday!
Life is good!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!
LOVE,
SISTER LACUSTA

Hard Work Pays Off!

Well this has been a GREAT week!
It is one of those weeks where I am just feeling super grateful for everything that is going on!
I feel like there is a theme in my mission, where I work super hard and not a lot happens until right before I am about to leave. So i definitely have a testimony of hard work paying off!
I've told so many missionaries, that as long as we are working hard, the Lord will fill in the blanks!
And it is sooo true!
But ya this week
Tuesday I  got to go on exchanges in El Dorado with Sister Tu'atonga. It was a lot of fun, she is hilarious. We did service at the thrift store, and i got a supergood deal on a coat. Haha it was brand new and I got it for $3. woohoo! But ya it was good. My last time back in El Dorado. Oh ya and we had a JW attack us. Hahaha good times.
Wednesday we had an appointment with this lady named Lisa who we hadn't met yet but her mom is a member. So Lisa is dying from cancer and it was sooooo sad. She was in sooo much pain, but she was so grateful we came to see her. In the night we saw Tom and Judi and we retaught Judi the Restoration.
Thursday we did some service in the morning by helping someone move and then we had district meeting, and then we did service at an old folks home haha. Then we just saw some other people. Nothing too exciting.
Friday: i had my departing interview. It was good. It definitely makes going home seem a little more real! Then we had appointments back to back right after. We saw Kody! And he said he would come to church. And then we saw Lisa again, but the RS pres came with us. While we were at her house we all of a sudden heard this noise and we were like what is that? And we look out the window, and the sun was shining so bright, but then there was HAIL and pouring rain! hahaha it was awesome. We got soaking wet while we were leaving.
Saturday: Was good. We decided to try every single PMF in the 4th ward. haha it ended up being pretty good. tHen in the night we had a RS activity to go to. So that was a lot of fun.
Sunday: JUDI AND KODY CAME TO CHURCH! We were so surprised! It was awesome! And then in the night we had an awesome lesson with Judi. And she is pretty much solid for the 14th!!! yayayayayyyy! So keep her in your prayers still. We committed her to fast with us that day so she would be able to recognize her answer, and then she said in RS she kept thinking, ya i should be baptized. And all this stuff. And then she was listening to other peoples comments, and she realized that she doesn't have to be perfect to join the church. And so she is slowly getting more and more sure of it! So we are so excited for her!!! and we got a sweet referral of this boy who wants to be baptized! So we have an appointment with him on tuesday.
But ya things are great.
We found out it is ELDER BEDNAR who is coming to the mission and to our stake conference! So that will be awesome!!!
But ya it was a cool week where things just kept working out perfectly! Heavenly Father is definitely in every detail of our lives. That is for sure!
WELL I love you all so much!!!!!

Another Great Week in Folsom!

HELLO FAMILY
Well it was another great week here in Folsom! I love Folsom!
We had a lesson with Aubrey on monday night.... she is still kind of skeptical, but she is willing to listen, and seems pretty sincere about knowing  what is true. So we have another appointment with her tonight!
Tuesday we saw a lot of people we saw this guy whose last name is Cashdollar hahaha and his first name is Bill. Isn't that funny? But ya, he is a grumpy less active... hahaa it was kind of funny. We saw the Edwards in the night. Oh my gosh, i'm serious they have got to be the funniest people in the world! I love them! We did service at the thrift store. which was pretty fun. and Oh ya! I found $100 in one of the pant pockets, but obviously I gave it to the manager, but since then people keep giving us money hahaha we try to give it back, but no luck. So for now we are calling it good karma. hahah
Wednesday we saw a lot of people, did some service,  had dinner at the Graysons. Aw I love the Graysons, they are such a solid family. And we did practice teaching with Brother Edmondson, so either i'm a perfect teacher, or brother edmondson knows that i am too old and you can't teach an old dog new tricks. hahaha cause he didn't give me any critiques but he gave sis wright a bunch. hahaha. But it was all good. He is awesome. He just wants to make it to so we are awesome teachers.
Thursday was good. We saw some people, had district meeting. Elder Thomas is our new district leader, and he did a great job! I loved it! hahah our district is really silly. It is just us, and then Elder Thomas and his companion, but then the zone leaders have to come so we are not on a date. hahaha so weird. We got to see Beth this day, she is sooo sweet. And then we had this RM come out with us to see Kody, but Kody bailed for that time. So we went back before dinner and we committed Kody to read the BOM, so it is all good! And then we had dinner at the Edmondsons, saw Sister Huff, and then went to the Pierces. hahaha Sister Wright is crazy about cats, #catlady, but she won't admit it. And at the pierces she was like oooo kitty and was going nuts about their cat, and now whenever the Pierces see her they pretend to stroke a cat and make meowing noises, and sister wright is all offended about it. haahahah so funny, especially because she does that whenever she sees a cat, but they called her out on it. hahahahaaha hilar.
Friday was weekly planning, and then we rode our bikes around for a little bit! It was soo fun! We saw some potentials and stuff like that, but no one too exciting.
Saturday was great!we met with bishop stoeltzing, and then we did service, saw some people, and then we had dinner at the Medinas! This was great, they are not members, but had us over, and we taught them the restoration and set an appointment to come teach them more!!! we are super excited!!!
Sunday was awesome. Oh man i just love both of these wards! They were just both awesome. In second wards relief society there were some good comments from the lesson, one was "When reverses (or setbacks) come, we need the temple even more". And one sister told a story from her brothers mission. They were in this little town and there was no sun for months, just super overcast, and the missionaries started getting really depressed, and then this members took them on a drive, like up a mountain, and then boom they drove over the clouds, and they could see the sun! So he said "the sunshine is always there, but sometimes from our position we can't see it" So remember in hard times, the sun is ALWAYS there! :) In 4th ward this girl came home from her mission, and her talk was great. And then we had dinner with the Jensens, hilarious. And then saw Tom and Judi.
So it was a good week!
Today ahhh we've been running around like crazy ladies. So sister wright is super talented on the piano, so they asked her if she would play the piano for this musical number when the apostle is here. So we had to drive to the mission office, then drive to elk grove for her to practice with the other sisters. So we left at 11 and didn't get back to Folsom till 3:45.... haahah byebye pday. Oh well. It was for a good cause. And i got to see some missionaries I haven't seen in a while.\
BUT other than that, life is good.
I have my departing interview on friday... hahaha.......... oh well. it is what it is.
WELL I HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING GREAT!!!!!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Oh my gosh, soooo many people went home this transfer, and a lot of them are people that I served with for a long time that were so fun. It was sad to see them leave!
Picked up Sister Wright, and then came back to Folsom!
So we had a good week. Did some service, saw some people.
Hahah we had dinner at a couples house and they are both special needs. I don't know how they signed up on our calendar, or how safe the food was to eat, but we still ate it. lol, and we are still alive, so far haha.
Valentines day was fun! We got to do service at the veterans hall. So we went and served dinner and haha we sang Love at home. It was fun! But ya, just kind of a regular ol week.
President and Sister Jardine came with their daughter and grandkids, and their 5 year old grandson came and he was wearing Presidents name tag and it was the cutest thing ever!

Dying in Folsom!

OKAY HELLO EVERYONE!!
This is going to be short!
SO for transfers! I AM DYING IN FOLSOM! Can you believe that? haha I'm not surprised. But the big  surprise is: Sister Wilson is getting transferred! Crazy crazy stuff!
SO my new companion will be Sister Wright. She is a super new missionary, but she just got called as an STL, so she should be good. Hahah she has literally only been on her mission the amount that I've been in Folsom. hahaha oh man.
BUT YA, so thats exciting!
AND GUESS WHAT! SO we had an awesome lesson with JUDI and she accepted to be baptized on MARCH 14!!!!! SO WE HOPE SHE STAYS TRUE TO THAT! She is totally still scared, but it would be soooooooooo good for her!
BUT THAT IS THE MOST EXCITING NEWS!
I HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING GREAT!
Ahahah the count down is officially on!!!
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

East Sac is so Fun!

Hellllllllooooo Everybody!
Well this was a good week, just like every week :)
Tuesday: we had a special little meeting as a zone, the zone leaders planned it, and it was just supposed to be a meeting to pump everybody up and to help everyone see what a great zone we are in, but everyone decided to take it personally and got upset about it. I thought it was a good meeting, just helped us to see what our potential is. Later that day we did service at the Veterans hall and we painted a womens bathroom haha. That night we met this super funny less active lady, she really liked us and said she might take us out for sushi sometime haha. Then we had dinner with the Edmondsons, he the wml is 4th ward, and she is the rs pres. They are awesome!
Wednesday I was on exchanges in East Sac with Sister Wheelwright!! It was so cool to see her after so long! She has changed so much! It was great. And let me tell you, East Sac is soooooo fun! We were on full time bike! It was awesome! We were biking around talking to everyone! It was a blast!
Thursday: we saw some people in the morning, did more painting service, but oh ya haha we were fasting, so painting while fasting is not really the best thing. So don't try it. But we survived. We did weekly planning, and then we had dinner at the Stoeltzings, that is the bishop of 4th wrd. But he wasn't there, just his wife, but oh my gosh, I love sister Stoeltzing! she is awesome! haha So that was a lot of fun!
Friday: we had ZONE CONFERENCE! Woohoo! its been so long since we've had a normal zone conference. Basically they did this one because there are so many of us going home that they needed to do one so we could all give our departing testimonies. The theme of zone training was teaching from the scriptures. It was great! And ya i had to give my departing testimony, it seems pretty weird that I only have one transfer left. Yikes. After zone conference we saw these sweet formers and we set up a dinner appointment with them. And we went contacting in old folsom in the night. Hahaha nothing too exciting, but we met some pretty interesting people.
Saturday: was not so good, well I mean it wasn't a bad day, but it wasn't good. Sister Wilson got sick. so we went to service and dinner, but besides that the rest of the day was just kind of staying inside.
Sunday: Same thing, sister wilson woke up really sick, so we only went to 3rd hour of 2nd ward because we said we would teach YW's, and then we went and took the sacrament in 4th ward. But we watched Mountain of the Lord, hahaha, have you seen that? its a great movie about how the salt lake temple was built. And a yw in the ward invited her friend to church, and she came, and gave her a book of mormon and she loved it! So we might have a new investigator in the future! Woohoo!
Well thats about all that is going on!
We have transfers next week, so pday will be on tuesday and I will be figuring out where I am going to die!
Hope you are doing great!

Elvis on my Mission?!

Hello Family!
Hope you are all doing great!
We had a good week this week.
Tuesday was kind of a funny day, we went to see that old lady named Maureen, and she lives at a retirement home, and so we went to go see her and Elvis was performing. hahahah apparently they have a monthly birthday party, and it was Maureens turn! So we got to see Elvis perform some songs. hahaha it was kind of a hilarious surprise. Oh and earlier that day we went and did service at this veterans hall, and i cleaned out  a fridge. Haha the lady said " who is good at organizing?" and then everyone turned and looked at me. So I guess i am good at organizing. But ya the fridge was nasty, haha everything is covered in mold. But no longer!
Wednesday we were on exchanges, I was with Sister Phothiworn, she is this super adorable sister from Thailand. Her accent is super thick, but she is seriously great! We went for thai food! She showed me all the good  things! We did service at the thrift shop, the usual. We saw some people and had a good day. And we had 4th ward missionary coorelation. The ward missionaries had some good ideas of what to do to get missionary work rolling. So we will see what happens :).
Thursday we had an awesome district meeting! It was all about being a consecrated missionary! I thought it was so good. We just really need to give it our all. As long as I am doing my best, the Lord will know! The rest of the day was good. We saw some members and saw Kyla! I love Kyla! We got gas and when we went into the gas station to get our receipt the worker said "Are you two Sisters??" And we were like hmmmmmm how should we answer this. hahaha So we said Yes Sister Missionaries! haha but then he meant real sisters. Kind of funny.
Friday was good. Weekly planning, and then we saw some more people. We had dinner and a lesson with Jeanne. It was good. And then in the evening we went down to old Folsom and did some contacting. There were 2 elders therea nd then we made it a competition of who could contact the most people! haha it was fun.
Saturday: In the morning we decided to go to the farmers market to try and contact people, and hahah the only people we ended up talking to were these two homeless guys, Nick and Kyle. hhahaha so we taught them all about the book of mormon, and then told them we would get them lunch. So we left to go get taco bell cause Sister Wilson had a giftcard, and then we decided to go to the di trailer and get them some stuff. So we got them each a blanket, and some socks and stuff like that, and then we went back, AND THEY WERE GONE! We were like NOOOOO! So we kept driving around trying to find them, but we couldn't see them anywhere. Then we found this old chinese homeless man and decided to give him the taco bell. And then he was like "you want some chicken?" and we're like noooo, then he pulled out  a safeway bag full of stinky chicken. hahahah so then all of a sudden we had this stinky chicken that didn't know what to do with. So then we start driving to find a garbage can and who do we see? NICK AND KYLE! So we gave them the other stuff but told them they missed out on taco bell. hahahaa. what a day. We saw Judi and tried some other people, and had dinner with the Kolanders, then in the evening we saw the Edwards. oh my goshhh they are SO funny! I love them!
Sunday was good. We had both wards and both ward councils, so we were tired ladies. But it was all good. Then we had dinner with the Hollingsworths, they are a super awesome young family! and we tried some referrals we got and then that was it.
BUT in other news. I am pretty sure that I am going to get transferred from folsom, and let me tell you  why. There is an APOSTLE coming to the Folsom stake on MARCH 15 for a special stake conference!!!! SO i am sure I will miss out on that cause I always seem to miss the big honchos!
WELL Love you all!!!!!!!

Jones Family - Christmas Eve Dinner

Part of our Zone on Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Number 2 on my Mission

Kyla's Baptism

Goodbye to Sister Cleverly

Zone on New Years Eve

Locked in the Clerks Office

Well hello family!
Yesterday was my 16 month birthday! Can you believe that? HOLY time is seriously FLYING! Hahah everytime a member asks me how long i've been out i say "a little over a year" and then my companion laughs, and then I just have to fess up and say how long I've been out, and then everyone gets all trunky on me. hahaha. Oh well... i guess it has to happen one day!
This week was good!
On Tuesday we had MLC, and it was actually so cool! We got to set the mission baptism goal. So it was neat, at first everyone started throwing out random numbers, and they were all sort of close to each other, but then one elder said "I don't know if its a sign or not but i keep seeing the number 711," and he said it was like numbers, or also the gas station 711. And then everyone was sort of laughing, and then I put up my hand and said that I really liked the goal of 711, and then all of a sudden president kind of agreed and then everyone was in unison! It ws cool, cause it started out kind of random, but then the spirit kicked in and everyone was on the same page! And then we said a prayer to you know tell/ ask Heavenly Father if this was the right goal, and the spirit was super strong and every body knew that we had chosen the right number! It was awesome! (part of the reason i liked the goal was cause someone joked that if we reached the goal that we could all get slurpees, and sister jardine said she would buy them, and you all know I would do anything for a slurpee haahahah, jk) But ya it was great!

Wednesday we did service at the thrift shop, and then we decided to just try and do some contacting! It was awesome! We talked to a couple people and some could potentially be interested! We met a hilarious old lady who was like swearing and stuff! hahahha we were cracking up. We had dinner with a lessactive from the 4th ward, she was sooo nice, and we shared the talk "his grace is sufficient" with her, and she was like crying. It was so sad, but so good. so hopefully she can see that the atonement really works for her! And then we had a great lesson with Judi about prayer!

Thursday we did weekly planning! It was what ever. And we met with the zone leaders to plan our zone training. Aww they are great! seriously awesome zone leaders! We also had a lesson with this apparently really hard to catch less active pmf in the 4th ward. It was really great until the teenage daughter was like, I don't see why we need Jesus Christ, and then put down everything we said. But we bore testimony and continued on! And then that night we got to have a new member lesson with Kyla, awww I love her. She is so great!

Friday: this was our zone training! It was soooooo good! It was all about Peters conversion. We read from a couple different scriptures and talked about how Peter has changed over time. But still we know that at one point, Peter had been with Christ through his whole ministry, but he still wasn't converted. He denied Christ. BUT then he became converted. We all need to work on our conversions. We can't just be satisfied where we are at. Conversion is a process, not a destination. So that is what it was all about. President and Sister Jardine came, and they really enjoyed it too. All in all the spirit was super strong, and we gave some missionaries the opportunity to come up and bear their testimonies and it was cool to see how it influenced them. We used Hollands talk "THe First Great commandment", so everyone should go read it, it is soooo good!

Saturday we went and did service for Carla, she is the lady who can't use her arms, and she was so grateful! And we saw a few other people. Had a really fun dinner with the Hunts and it was good!

Sunday we attended both wards, it was good! Lots of great talks and lessons. And then we had dinner at the Poggemans and they are sooo fun!

Well in other news, we are currently locked in the clerks office right now. We were emailing in here, and then all of a sudden the elders were like sisters, you need to stay in here, there is a really creepy guy in the church. So we locked the door, and then another set of elders came and told us that this guy is apparently doing some crazy stuff, and there are broken windows and doors and blood everywhere........ And I guess the cops are on the way.
We are actually seriously really freaked out right now.
SO ya, umm I guess the silver lining is we have extra time to email.
But ya, we don't know whats going on. So I'll keep you posted.
OKAY LOVE YOU

OKAY ALL IS WELL.
EVERYONE IS SAFE AND THE COPS GOT THE GUY!
JUST A WEIRD HOMELESS GUY ON DRUGS.
EVERYBODY IS OKAY!
LOVE YOU!

Tender Mercy

Hey family!
Well I don't really have a lot to report on since I last wrote you a few days ago....
Haha I think the most interesting thing to report on was that we went  to Lakeside church.
Haha so probably no one knows anything about Lakeside, but all you need to know is it is a rock n roll church. hahaha we walked in and it was like a rock concert!
No wonder everybody wants to go to the church, its just a party church.
Haha but ya, it was interesting for sure.
Hmmm sunday... our alarm didn't go off for some reason.... so we accidently slept in till 8:30.....(tender mercy hahaha)..... church starts at 9 and is 15 minutes away! hahaha so we definitely missed ward council, but then managed to get to church only 5 minutes late.
Then after 2nd ward, one of our investigators texted us to drop us.... awesome.
hahaha so maybe we were being punished for going to that church.
Hahahaha oops.
But on the bright side, today we went ice skating as a zone!
It was fun! hahaha
And tomorrow we have MLC so we get costa vida!
WOOOHOOO
Well that is about it!
LOVE YOU ALL!
LOVE SISTER LACUSTA

Staying in Folsom

Wow! It feels like I haven't emailed you since LAST YEAR. hahaha good joke right?
Anyways,
things have been SWELL!
It was so nice talking to everybody on Christmas, sounds like everyone is doing great!
On Saturday KYLA got baptized!!!! It was soooo nice! Kyla is just the coolest girl in the world and now she is baptized! Can you even believe that?
It was a really nice little program too, her bf Tyler gave a talk, then Brooke the bishops daugter gave one, then she got baptized, and Sister Cleverly and I taught while she was getting changed, and then there was a little testimony meeting, and Kyla bore her testimony :') awwww. She is just awesome.
After her baptism Brother Edmondson took us out for sushi, which was nice. And sister Jones came back for the baptism so she came too! It was nice to see her!
Sunday, Kyla got the HOLY GHOST! wooohooo! It was great! We had dinner with the Hunts who are so funny and then we went and saw Joy who is the old lady who gave sister William the ukulele. So we brought our ukuleles and played silver bells for her. Haha its the only duet we knew. She loved it! And then in the night we went to the Edmondsons cause they have invited this less active family over for dinner, so we got to talk to them and it was great.
Then monday.... the great and dreadful day of transfer calls. haha. The beginning of the day was good. We went and did service at this ladies house who can't use her arms, and just saw a lot of other people. Someone brought us pizza for dinner haha, and then we saw the Medinas who are this super cool family who should get baptized asap. They are soo great! So we will see what happens with them.
Then we went to visit these members.......... and the dad usually isn't there and apparently he is kind of less active, and he was trying to prove the gospel wrong. So i was just like noooope, i'm not going to partiicipate in this nonsense. It was horrible. and while we were there we got our transfer calls. Sooooo drum rollllllll..... I am staying in Folsom with Sister Wilson!! And Sister Cleverly went to Lodi. So we were sad because we loved being companions, but we are both getting awesome companions! Seriously both of the sisters are amazing. But it was sad.
Tuesday would usually be pday, but sister cleverly started packing in the morning and then we had a zone lunch so we could have one last hoorah and sign each others bye books. But in the middle of our lunch we get a call from Sister Jardine, and she was like one of the sisters is having a mental breakdown can you go help her? So! We quickly got everyone to sign our books and the sped to carmichael to console this sister. So she was okay, just had a panic attack, and we talked about it, and then her zone leaders came and gave her a blessing, and hopefully she is okay now. Then the rest of tuesday was saying goodbye to people and all of that kind of stuff.
Wednesday was transfers! So we met at the office, and then Sister Wilson came back with me to Folsom! She is going to be a great companion! So then we had a lunch appointment that day, then district meetnig, then an appointment, then it was our zone activity. Hahha. so poor Sister Wilson hasn't even got to unpack at all yet.
But ya, thats about it!
We are going to be in finding mode now! Pray that we will find someone who is being prepared!!!!!! :)
Love you all!!!!!!!!
