Another Week in the Mission

HELLO FAMILY!
Well what a week! haha nothing too exciting, well sort of I guess!
Tuesday: So tuesday we had zone training at 11. It was really good. It was all about how we need to focus on our key indicators to help people come unto Christ. I really enjoyed it! I had a lot of inspiration for me of how I can help improve my area! So hopefully it will happen! Lol  It was really good. Our zone is great, we have a lot of amazing missionaries, and we just need all the help we can get! After zone training we went out for lunch with the other sisters and had fun, then we went out to work. Wow, this was one of those days where nooo one answered their door! Literally the only person who let us in was this member who we stopped by, and oh my gosh they are INSANE. ahahah wow, the woman started crying many times and it was all about nothing. We were like ooooookay. But in the end, they did give us a suggestion of someone we should stop by and see. Sooo I guess it wasn't all for not.  We had dinner with Sister Jones :) That was so great, I really love sister jones! She is sooo kind and just so great! So it was a nice thing to happen on our not so successful day! We saw a few more people in the evening and then called it a night.
Wednesday was pretty great! We had an appointment with our investigator Susan, we taught her the Restoration and she seemed to really understand everything. We invited her to be baptized again, and she didn't give a firm response, but she also said she wasn't ready to come to church yet, so ya! But she said she will pray and read from the BOM so that is great! So after that we had an appointment to meet a friend of Josh Andrews, he is a 19 year old boy in the ward who is leaving in a week to go on his mission to Tahiti! So he invited his friend to read from the BOM and to meet with us! So we met her, got to know her a little bit and then taught her the restoration which went great! The spirit was super strong, and we invited her to be baptized and she said YES!!! wooohooo! So its exciting. She doesn't actually live in our area, so we will need to pass her off to the elders, but thats okay, its still exciting. So then we were trying to figure things out like when she could actually be baptized, because she thought it would be cool if josh could baptize her, so we called President Lewis and asked if she could be baptized after only going to church two times ( well she's actually been many times before in the past, but not recently, the most recent was at around christmas time. She comes from a pmf and she has active grandparents!) soooo ya, so President Lewis said it was okay! Soooo we were excited! We called the elders and let them know we have an investigator for them and set up an appointment to pass her off to them! woohooo so exciting! So then after that we had dinner at Sister Whites house, oh my gooooshhhh I love SisterWHite she is soooo funny! Her son Gary was there too and he was telling us all these funny stories from his mission. Hahahah he was telling us some pranks they played on greenies when they came in and one of them was: During their evening prayer right before they went to bed the trainer would say the prayer, but then end "In the name of Joseph Smith, amen" HAHAHA and then hop in bed really quick. Oh my gosh so funny! I was like oh man why couldn't you have told me this a week earlier!? I don't think I could ever actually do that, but man oh man it would be funny. What a way to freak out a new missionary! lol.So then we saw Margaret and she said the sweetest prayer when we left, it went along the lines of "you know when you really hope that someone will come by cause you want/need to see them, but you don't want to ask. Well thank you for sending the sisters over to see me, cause I really wanted to see them but I didn't ask, and i'm so thankful." it was soooo sweet! So then we went and saw a few members and hounded them about doing missioary work. ahahah jk, not hounded, just kindly encouraged :)
Thursday: This was a good day, just doing our normal thing trying to see people. Ahaha we had a few potentials on this one street, so we just decided to tract the street. hahaha there were some old people outside so i'm like " Oh hi there!" and they're like "WERE BUSY" and I'm like "ohhhh okay, well is there a better time we could come back? We're missioaries" "I don't CARE if you're missionaries! If you want to be a missionary GO RIGHT AHEAD and be a missionary! But don't bother me!!!" hahaha i was dying laughing. It was like okay I will, I will be a missionary! Thanks for the permission lol.  I was contacting everybody we saw! It was pretty fun! haha we saw a girl outside and started talking to her, and turns out she was already baptized, but has been la for the past 10 years! So we gave her a pamplet with the church address on it and invited her to come back! she gave us flowers! so nice! We saw the Babbitts later on. We were supposed to have dinner with the Dolds. But Sister Dold was out of town and Bro Dold was busy with work haha so we showed up at their house and 2 of their married daughters were there and they told us what was going on and they told us there was a stake sports night that there was dinner at, so we just went there and had dinner. hahaha while we were eating Sis Wheelwright stood up and there was a rip in her skirt! hahah right on her butt! So we had to go to Sister Andrews house so she could fix it up! then they talked our ear off and then we called it a night!
Friday was weekly planning. It was good, we also made up a new ward list, and it is all updated and color coded, it is great. Then we saw some people. Went to a members house and she gave us a few referrals. Lol one she said, go see this guy he wwas nice. So we go and hahaha oh my gosh. he was so rude. Lol he was one of those "you belong to a cult,, you're not Christian, God is Jesus, people" hahah it was ridiculous. I just bore testimony then peaced out. Not wasting my breath on someone like that. Hahah we went and contacted the referral from the crazy members and the man came and answered the door and said "I've been expecting you!" we were like oooooo!!!! but then he continued on and said "Where I used to lvie my neighbours would always send you missionaries over to meet me, but I'm catholic so goodbye" lol. So close! When we got home this night I had a ton of mail! Thanks grandma :) :)
Saturday was another one of those days where NO ONE ANSWERS. oh my gooooosh. literally only 1 person answered and  I was giving me speal about the restoration and the whole time people in the background were yelling stupid things. haha but I still went ahead, but the guy wasn't interested. Oh well. We went to visit the Masseys, they let us in. And then had dinner at the Andrews and then last stop of the night was to see Kat.
sunday was good. Sister Marston made a great comment in sunday school about how, we may not always realize it, but we are growing. Look at your thumbnail, you can't see it grow, but look at how often you have to cut it! So we are always slowly improving! I love it! Keep doing what youre suppsoed to and you will improve :). Church, Praying, Reading Scriptures. CPR. It saves lives people!! :)
But ya, it was a good day! Today has been a good pday, just doing the usual. Our zone kind of sucks now, sports aren't nearly as much fun. But its okay. Its still good. This week will probably be just a regular week. THe week after will be crazy though. We have the new missionary meeting, exchanges, and saying good bye to president and sister Lewis :'( very sad day. But it will be good!
Well that is all for now!!!! I love you all so much!!!! Hope you're doing great!!!!!!
